Native Plant Walk
A walking tour of the hammocks and tidal marshes of Dennis Creek will open your eyes to the diversity of fresh and saltwater plants that make up this unique and beautiful coastal habitat. Boardwalks allow easy island hopping through the upper tidal marsh and lead us through a variety of habitats during a time of peak flowering. This event offers an opportunity to learn the names and significant characteristics of hydric hammock and salt marsh species, including their adaptations and techniques for survival under the harsh coastal environment.
